Shake flasks experiments are very useful in modeling behavior and optimizing conditions prior to entering a bioreactor. However, the behavior of the culture in bioreactors can be different than in shake flasks. In this study, we investigate whether the increased titer and productivity observed in shake flasks containing Cell-Ess will also be observed at larger scale utilizing single-use bioreactors.

Including lipids as part of a feed regimen can be beneficial if supplied throughout the bioproduction run.  In this case study, we investigate whether Cell-Ess, a universal titer boost and optimizer, can be added as a feed to a previously optimized system to increase titer or have other beneficial effects, such as improving cell viability or extending potential run times.
